(She didn't even mean to coin it. That's the worst part.)
Pictured: Christian "Craylor" Makoa.
Or Crakoa. We're going with Crakoa now.
She said so on a microphone.
You may know him as Christian Taylor. You may know his brand as Craylor Made. You may have subscribed to Craylor Media on YouTube. You may have watched a course on craylor.academy.
And then — just when you had it all figured out — this guy went and changed his last name to Makoa. So now he is Christian Makoa. Still goes by Craylor. Except Craylor was always just CHRistian + tAYLOR. The Taylor is gone. So… is Craylor?
At the Web Agency Summit intro, one brave woman cut through the noise with ruthless clarity: "From now on, I'm calling you Crakoa."
Reader, she was right.

Follow along. Or don't. He barely can.
"Craylor" no longer adds up. "Crakoa" wasn't planned. And yet here we are.
(Note: Krakoa is also the island nation of mutants in X-Men. We are choosing to take this as a compliment.)
Nobody asked these. That's not what FAQ means anymore.
(The part where we put the meme down for a second)
Here's what's actually going on: Christian changed his last name to Makoa. It's personal. It's intentional. And it's his.
The nickname Craylor — short for Christian Taylor — has been his brand identity since the beginning. It powered Craylor Made, Craylor Media, and Craylor Academy. Those aren't going anywhere. The brand is built, the audience is real, and the mission hasn't changed: helping entrepreneurs choose and use the right software to grow their business.
What has changed is the man behind it. He's Christian Makoa now. And yes, the portmanteau no longer strictly adds up. But honestly? Craylor still sounds right. Nicknames don't always need to do math.
So if you're here because you're confused: welcome. If you're here because you thought it was a crisis: it sort of is, and also it totally isn't. And if you're here because someone texted you "have you seen this Crakoa thing" — now you have.
For those who need things in writing.
